Pullup bar

Wood/ash

1st variant: with rope loops

Attach the 2 rope loops (see picture above) of the pull-up bar to a carabiner. The pull-up bar can support a maximum load of 100 kg. You can attach the carabiner directly to a ceiling mount.

2nd variant with fastening strap

You have the option of changing the length using the central length adjuster (see picture above) on the fastening strap and/or by positioning the carabiner in the stitched area.

Training tips

For beginners, it is advisable to start with rowing pull-ups and perform them in different variations (underhand grip, overhand grip, narrow and wide). To do this, adjust the length of the pull-up bar at elbow height on the adjustable length version.

Instructions for use

Make sure that the pull-up bar is hanging horizontally before you start training. If necessary, center the knot. Before starting training, check the stability of the entire structure by visually inspecting it and pulling carefully.

If you need to reattach the Prusik knot to the pull-up bar, this video from 00:35 will help you.
We use the same knot on our Sling Trainer Allround. We use a triple Prusik knot for the pull-up bar.

Exercises

You target different muscles by varying the type of grip (overhand or underhand grip) and the grip width (placement of the hands close, shoulder-width or wide).

With adjustable strap

Inverted rowing to prepare for free pull-ups:

  • shoulder-width stance directly in front of the pull-up bar
  • shoulders pulled back and down
  • torso tense
  • looking ahead
  • the hands grip the pull-up bar shoulder-width apart with an underhand grip
  • the arms are bent
  • tilt slowly backwards at an angle
  • stretch your arms
  • the entire body remains straight with a stable torso
  • slowly pull your chest towards the pull-up bar

3 x 12 repetitions with 30 seconds rest each. The longer the fastening band, the more difficult the exercise becomes.

Free pull-ups

To prevent injuries, please ensure that you perform the exercise correctly:

  • stand under the pull-up bar
  • grab the bar with the same distance to the center in the lower or upper grip
  • pull yourself up with your chest until your chin comes over the pull-up bar
  • keep the arms slightly under tension when lowering

Pay attention to your body balance and always keep your core stable and tense. To support your first pull-ups, we recommend the eaglefit® fitness band made from natural latex.

TIP: Pull-ups are easiest with a tight underhand grip. You have more strength with your legs crossed. Avoid swinging. We recommend alternating between free pull-ups and rowing pull-ups at first.

Care instructions

Wipe the wood with a soft, dry cloth. Straps and ropes can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and mild textile detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp or pointed objects. Exposure to sunlight can change the color of the wood. However, this does not affect its function. The eaglefit® pull-up bar must not be stored permanently in damp rooms as this could cause it to become deformed.

Expansion options

Material science

Pull-up bars from energy- and resource-saving production

The wood for your eaglefit® pull-up bar comes from the Danube forest or the valleys of the Swabian Alb. There is enough water and nutrients for the ash trees to grow optimally and strongly, which is necessary for the good static properties of the wood.

After the ash trees are felled in winter, they are cut into planks in our neighboring village and then stacked and covered for drying.

The natural drying process ensures that the static properties are fully retained. In addition, no energy is used for drying. This type of drying may result in slight color changes on the surface due to the prolonged storage of the wood in sunlight, wind and weather. During further processing into eaglefit® pull-up bars, it can happen that not all of the wood is removed and a dark edge remains. This is not a defect, but a sign of responsible use of raw materials and energy.

Your new eaglefit® pull-up bar will darken in the first few weeks due to UV radiation, as the light-colored, previously protected wood is now also exposed to the sun.

We are pleased that we can give you a great training tool with a clear conscience, which comes from an energy- and raw material-saving production and was made for you with a lot of love!
